| The investment seeks current income exempt from federal income tax, other than the alternative minimum tax, and North Carolina state income tax as part of a long-term strategy of achieving tax-advantaged total return. The fund normally invests at least 80% of assets in municipal securities that are exempt from federal income tax, other than the alternative minimum tax, and from income taxes in the stated of North Carolina.
